Carmelgiri English Medium School is run by the Sisters of the congregation of Mother of Carmel (CMC).Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara,the founder of the congregation, was a genius, an extra ordinarily gifted eduacationist, social reformer and a blessed religious leader. The congregation was founded in 1866 for the Christian formation of the community especially of the women and children. He started educational institutions along with the convents, Which became the instruments of social change and reformation.
Carmelgiri School was founded in 1993. It is affiliated to C.B.S.E.(Aff.No:930401) It is a minority instituation established primerily for the eduation of local community.Students are admited to the institution irrespective of their caste creed and religion and their right of conscience are respected.
